Vale MP Alun Cairns met with local residents at Weycock Cross this week to discuss the opposing plans to build 200 new houses at Green Farm in Barry before a September deadline passes.
The Friends of Weycock Cross Group has called on local residents to object to the proposals from Taylor Wimpey after plans were re-submitted by the house builder in August despite local opposition.
Taylor Wimpey has re-submitted an application, but the local MP is offering his full support to those opposing the scheme due to the impact on local services and traffic flow around a development at Green Farm.
Mr Cairns said: “The local residents have fought very hard to oppose these plans for over 2 years. After meeting with local residents concerned about a looming deadline of September 12th to submit representation, the Vale of Glamorgan council must listen to concerns such a large scale development could have on the local community.”
