Last Saturday Barry Rugby Football Club hosted their annual Family Fun Day. The event was held in support for ‘Blisse’s Journey’, a charitable group which helps a local young girl called Bliss who suffers from two very rare brain conditions.
Local MP Alun Cairns joined in the fun and games and set an early lead to the Strong Chain Challenge organised by Nicky Palmer Fitness. The Vale MP has committed to helping Bliss in any way he can.
Mr Cairns commented:
“I was delighted to be invited to the Family Fun Day. Barry RFC hosted a super day in aid of a fantastic cause. The event was accompanied by excellent music, good food and great fun and games. The Strong Chain Challenge was particularly entertaining, although I was rather sore on Sunday morning!
I hope that the funds raised on the day will help ‘Blisse’s Journey’ and I congratulate all those who were involved in making the Family Fun Day so successful.”
