Update from the Friends of Weycock Cross
Taylor Wimpey’s new planning application 2014/00863/OUT for 200 houses at Green Farm, Weycock Cross
Although you may have sent in a response to the previous planning application, your old representations will not count!! You must re-submit them using the new planning application number above. Deadline for response is 12th September 2014, however they will accept them up to the day before the Planning Committee meet.
A reminder that this site:
1) is outside the Barry urban boundary.
2) is a Green Wedge that is currently farmed.
3) is not a brown field site.
4) is on Port Road which does not have the infrastructure to support these houses or all the other developments still to be built.
5) is not in the current deposit LDP.
6) will impact on local services, e.g. dentists, doctors, schools, traffic, etc.
We would encourage you to submit a representation for every member of your household and encourage friends, family and neighbours to do the same.
You can view Taylor Wimpey’s proposals via the Vale of Glamorgan Planning and Building Control web site. You may also view the proposals at the Dock Offices without appointment, from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (4:30pm on Friday).
