I must admit that I haven’t noticed a shift to the Lib Dems here in the Vale.  In spite of a view amongst many that the public are apathetic or not interested in politics, I have picked up a clear understanding amongst voters of the risk of a hung parliament. 

Locals in the Vale are also aware that it is a two horse race in this constituency and recognise that voting for Plaid, Lid Dem or UKIP could let Labour in through the back door.

Many have said that they will vote for me this time to keep Gordon Brown out of office. 

We shall see.
