Commenting on the statement by the Welsh Regeneration
Minister, which created a new Strategic Regeneration Area in North Wales, Tory
AM Alun Cairns
has said that the Government has clearly abandoned Porthcawl.
Regeneration Minister, Leighton Andrews, announced
that Rhyl and Colwyn
Bay have become a
Strategic Regeneration Area, joining the Heads of the Valleys, however Porthcawl
has missed out.

COMMENTING on the outcome of the Learner Travel Measure vote in the National Assembly this evening, Alun Cairns AM led the debate for the Welsh Conservatives said:
“This is bitterly disappointing. The Assembly Government has sold pupils and parents short.
“The amendments tabled were to make sure that all children were taken to their school of choice in the safest possible way.
