Vale MP Alun Cairns said: “The new Barry Eye is yet another fantastic addition to Barry Island (Eye-land!) and is symbolic of the regeneration that continues. They say a showman should always under promise, and over deliver - that is exactly what Henry Danter and his family have done over the past 12 months.
"The opening of the Barry Eye and the brand new £1m log flume is a vital reminder that the much delayed link road, and traffic problems overseen by the Vale Council must be sorted as a matter of urgency. No excuses, no delays – Barry Island must be open to make the most of renewed interest in the resort. The summer of 2016 has the potential to be the busiest in decades. For the first time since the 1970s, all the commercial premises have been let which is a superb indication of the revival of Barry Island. The Vale Council cannot continue to act as a drag on the growing prosperity thanks to the enormous amount of private investment and ambition shown by entrepreneurs like Henry Danter.”
