Vale MP Alun Cairns has welcomed the news that broadband and phone services have been restored to the entire village of Llantrithyd following the loss of service for two weeks.
Mr Cairns visited the community to meet local residents affected by the loss of service due a telegraph pole being hit by a vehicle. He met with BT engineers and local residents to ensure the restoration of service was nearing completion. Mr Cairns previously contacted BT to highlight the length of disruption, and is calling on the company to ensure that customers can access suitable compensation for the loss of service.
Mr Cairns said: “I am pleased that broadband and service has now been restored to the village of Llantrithyd after a lengthy disruption of service. There were a couple of residents who are reliant on the use of a telephone, and we ensured that residents with particular needs were prioritised.”
