Bryn Hafren Pupils in London Visit

Welsh Baccalaureate pupils from Bryn Hafren Comprehensive in Barry met Vale MP Alun Cairns in Westminster this week. The group were able to visit after train operator First Great Western stepped in to help after other travel arrangements fell through.

Barry College Students Meet MP

Students with additional needs on an Independent Living Skills course met with Vale MP Alun Cairns at the Cardiff and Vale College campus in Barry. The students aged between 16 and 22 years old held a discussion on the challenges of entering employment after leaving education courses at the college.

Cowbridge Pupils Visit Westminster

Pupils from Ysgol Iolo Morganwg in Cowbridge made a curriculum based visit to Westminster recently for a tour. The group met with Vale MP Alun Cairns and then took part in an interactive workshop focussed on the role of democracy.

Planning Hurdle Overcome – MP Calls For Final Summer Push

Vale MP Alun Cairns has welcomed the planning decision to allow the potential return of a fairground to Barry Island Pleasure Park. Mr Cairns is now calling on the parties to finalise an agreement on outstanding issues that will allow a fairground to be open in time for Easter and into the summer.
