Last Week Vale MP Alun Cairns visited Mandy Clarke from Barry to learn how a new boiler was funded by Npower’s Health Through Warmth scheme.
Mrs Clarke has a number of health complications and was left without heating or hot water during the winter months. Health Through Warmth stepped in to fund a new boiler, which Alun Cairns was keen to lean about.
The local MP was impressed with the process and with the arrangements of installation of the complete new central heating system in their home.
On visiting Mrs Clarke, Alun Cairns was able to experience first-hand how her situation has changed for the better following the installation of the new central heating.
Mr. Cairns said, “Npower’s Health Through Warmth is a fantastic scheme, which improves the quality of life for vulnerable people who suffer from cold related illnesses.
“I am so pleased that Mrs Clarke has been able to benefit from this scheme. Mandy and her husband are now able to live in comfort and warmth in their own home.
“The new boiler has almost halved the heating bills, which is also a fantastic outcome.
