AC Macmillan

Alun Cairns met with Jon Antoniazzi from Macmillan Cancer Support to present a cheque worth £3161 following the MPs fundraising attempts for the London Marathon 2021.

Alun Cairns ran the London Marathon for a record 9th time and achieved a time of 3 hours 32 minutes. Alun Cairns was thrilled to have raised so much money for Macmillan, 'it is fantastic to handover £3161 to Macmillan Cancer Support following my London Marathon fundraising. Now more than ever the charity needs support and I hope the money will do some good towards helping those suffering with cancer.

Care for Cancer has often been overlooked throughout this pandemic and it is only right that those suffering with cancer continue to get the right support. Finally, I just want to say I am very grateful for all the support and donations I received over the last few weeks!"

The other half of the total Mr Cairns raised went to a local Barry Domestic Abuse Charity - Atal Y Fro - who were equally as delighted to receive such a large sum in support.
