Alun Cairns met Headteacher Lee Humphrey's at Pencoedtre High last week. The MP was given a tour by Mr Humphreys around the new state oft he art facility that was recently opened. Mr Humphreys outlined the challenges the school, students and staff faced during the disruption caused by Covid 19 but he discussed positively how they had overcome these challenges.
Mr Cairns commented on the visit saying. 'it was fantastic to visit the new school facility, the pupils really are taking great pride in the new school and it is great to see. It was brilliant to meet Mr Humphreys who I a motivated headteacher and is developing a welcoming environment for the school for both staff and pupils. We discussed the schools plans to reach out to the Barry Community and engage with local community groups."
