Small business Saturday was a great success in Barry, according to local MP Alun Cairns and small shop keepers. The Vale MP has been promoting Small Business Saturday for several weeks and the whole initiative came together last weekend with an extra boost to trade.
I always feel privileged to be the MP for the Vale of Glamorgan but I am especially reminded how fortunate I am at this time of year. Alun Cairns MP will be holding a public meeting on cuts to Bus Services in on Friday 22nd November 2013 at 6.15 pm at Highlight Park Community Centre. He is concerned about rumours that the Cardiff 98 Bus from Highlight Park to Barry Town Centre could be abolished.
Alun Cairns MP joined Cadoxton Youth project to help raise money for Children in Need last week. A range of traditional events were organised by Rita and her team at Victoria Park; from face painting, though to name the bear and guess the weight of the cake.
Local MP Alun Cairns joined Romilly Primary School in their effort to raise money for the BBC’s Children in Need. Pupils swapped their uniform for pyjamas and organised a Romilly’s Got Talent competition during the afternoon, raising hundreds of pounds for Children in Need in the process.
