100 Wreaths: Thank You to Vale Businesses

Following my initiative to hold a 100 Wreath Commemoration at Barry Memorial Hall, where 100 local children laid 100 wreaths to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War, I pay tribute to the Vale business community that made it possible.

More Than Half a BILLION for Wales in Chancellor’s Budget

Wales will benefit from over half a billion pounds in additional funding for the Welsh Government, as well as £120 million for a North Wales Growth Deal, the Chancellor has announced in the Budget today.
This year’s Budget is a result of the UK government’s balanced approach to the country’s finances, meaning the Welsh Government will have more spending power, while keeping taxes low and debt falling.

Alun Launches Thank You Boards at Barry Library

Thank You Message Boards have been launched at Barry Library, Kings Square, by Alun Cairns MP and the Royal British Legion. The boards will be in place for the month ahead as we approach the Centenary of the end of the First World War.

Caring Trio Supported by Vale MP

Vale care workers, who have been nominated for awards at the 2018 Wales Care Awards, have received the backing of local MP Alun Cairns. Three carers from College Fields Nursing Home in Barry have been put forward in different categories, all reaching the final.
