Please join our campaign to Keep Cowbridge Special and say NO to a supermarket on the Cattle Market Site.
Recently the Labour led Vale Council put forward plans to build a supermarket on the Cattle Market Site in the centre of Cowbridge. This proposal will severely damage Cowbridges unique high street, and dent its reputation as South Wales' premier market town.
The development has also been proposed without any form of public consultation. It cannot be allowed to go ahead without such public approval.
Please therefore support our campaign by writing to the below Councillors:
- hjarvie@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
- gacox@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
- AParker@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
- NMoore@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
These are the suggested points you should include in your letter:
• I am writing in opposition to the proposals for a supermarket on for Cowbridge Cattle Market site
• It will undermine local traders and the High Street and misses a one-off opportunity to gain vital carparking space
• There is a need for community focussed facility to Keep Cowbridge Special
• Please review your plan to sell the site and I ask that you consult widely on the form of development
