Organiser Gay Fifield said: “We had a very busy morning on Holton Road, and we are fortunate to be helped by so many volunteers. We were thrilled to raise so much money in a morning.”
Mr Cairns said: “The group at the Senior Health shop does so much work in the community. I was delighted to go along to help and see so many local people raising money to support older people in the Vale.”
