Sisters Win Pupil of the Year Awards at Barry School
Vale MP Alun Cairns has praised two Barry sisters after they picked up the Year 7 and Year 9 Pupil of the Year awards at the Bryn Hafren Comprehensive annual presentation eventing.
Sisters Morgan (year 9) and Joscelin Hall (year 7) were awarded the coveted Pupil of the Year prize and were presented with the award by head teacher Tyrone Davies and former deputy Lesley Olden. Mr Cairns was a guest at the awards along with the Honorary Consul of France in Cardiff, Mme Marie Brousseau-Navarro.
Mr Cairns said: “The Bryn Hafren annual awards is a fantastic way to end the school year, and it was wonderful to see the Hall family pick up two prestigious awards. All of the teaching professionals at Bryn Hafren clearly care passionately about their pupils and raising standards. The positive relationships clearly visible between teacher and pupil was great to see.”
