Many residents will know that back in September, Local MP Alun Cairns called a residents’ meeting to discuss the ongoing issue of public transport in the Vale of Glamorgan.
This meeting was extremely well attended by residents throughout the Vale, and also included representatives of the major bus operators and Andrew RT Davies, Regional Assembly Member and Leader of the Opposition.
However, given the unfortunate transport situation that has arisen in the Vale, many residents from Rhoose found themselves unable to attend, and Alun Cairns MP has organised another meeting to take place at St Peters Church, Church Road, Rhoose, on Friday 18th October at 7.00pm.
Commenting on the meeting, Alun Cairns MP said:
“The residents’ meeting organised in Barry was extremely well attended and allowed residents an opportunity to express and discuss their concerns directly with the bus companies that operate in the Vale.
“Unfortunately, from speaking with residents after the meeting, it became obvious that many residents from Rhoose were unable to attend, and I am hopeful that this new meeting will allow them an opportunity to speak with me and raise their concerns directly.“
