Vale MP Alun Cairns completed one of his more unusual challenges last week - a gruelling 100 mile charity bike ride.
Mr Cairns joined hundreds of cyclists in London for a brisk 7am start on Sunday for the 100-mile route made famous during the 2012 London Olympics.
The Vale MP was raising money for Prostate Cymru and pedalled past his Westminster office on the long distance route that he completed in 8 hours 40 minutes.
Mr Cairns said: "It was a gruelling challenge. I have done some long distance cycle rides before, for example from London to Paris but this was very tough. I had so much support locally during the London Marathon, and I am really grateful for the support I received.
"However, this was the first big trip I've done on two wheels this year – I have certainly felt it in my legs this week. It was for a really good cause in Prostate Cymru, so I was determined to get over the finishing line."
